I found many desirable plants on your list but the one that got me most was Phrag. exstaminodium! http://www.slipperorchidforum.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_jawdrop.gif

Why don't we have such the nice Phrag's in here in europe!

They are also very hard to find here in the US.

I have always wondered, since they don't have a staminode, can they be pollinated? Mayby it's because they have to be divided, that it's so rare?

I think we need some clarifying here.:confused:Phrag. exstaminodium is lacking a staiminodal shield, which to me is different than a staminode. I believe exstaminodium selfpollinates.

I was readin' your question and inmediately took a look at the book Orchids of México (Hagsater et. al., 2005) and theres a pic of the two fertil anthers and functional stigma of Phrag. exstaminodium so I think it have normal polination, maybe the problem to get plants in USA and europe its that the plant are suscribed the NOM-ECOL a law of my country to control threatened plants.

As a biology student (Im really close to get my degree as biologist) I have very nice orchideologist friends here in México so my phrag exstaminodium plants are divisions of right license from a collected specimen.

I promise you when the plant flower I will try it to pollinate and make a seed capsule to propagation

Greetins
