I love the fuzzy look, but I wish the petals didn't reflex back.

Nice bright ray of sunshine you have there! Is this one of those warmer growing ones? Or do you need to keep it cooler?

I don't really know. It's been hot the last few days (85 F) and the temp in the basement gets to about 80 and it seems happy. The nights have been cooling into the 50's yet, so the house really cools down at night.

I have a couple of little masd. but the only one to bloom for me so far is floribunda. Very nice picture!

I understand what you mean about the reflexing. But the stunning color makes it worth a keeper!

I actually like the reflexing. It creates nice, sensuous round edges on the flower where there's a different play of light and color. I'd make a lousy AOS judge since I appreciate the 3-D architecture of flowers over conventional presentation.

I agree with you shady! You would make a horrible judge :poke: I would be worse than you. No I like the distinct differences in plants. Why do paphs have to be round, etc... I like color break, and curled/ reflexed petals. I think it should be subjective. Who decided the rules for plants to be judged? I saw a Shin'Yi yesterday in bloom it wass all deformed. The petals came out as Dorsal sepals, and the sepals came out as petals. The pouch was normal... It was awesome looking! Almost phrag like! But my boss promplty went up to it and pulled the spike off.
