Just to prove I grow more than Paphs, although I'm still a Paph freak!

And the whole plant

Very Nice example of this genera! Impressive! How big does this plant get?

This is just a juvenile in a three inch pot on its first bloom. The height from the top of the pot to the tip of the leaves is about 15 inches(38cm).
I don't have enough experience with the species to say how big it might get. Maybe another member has that answer.

in the wild of Thailand (mountain area) it could go up to 2 feets long..
Very nice indeed. I am not success in growing them in Bangkok...It need cooler months to initiate the bud..

How cool are your nights during your coolest time of year? This plant was in the house and had night time lows of 60F (15C). I did, however, greatly reduce its water and completely eliminated fertilizer for a couple months.

Not knocking your Dendrobium, but on the subject of D. thyrsiflorum, I just have to share this... This isn't even its best blooming. Grown in the MSU collection by one of the best growers I know, Jan Syzren.

This plant got a CCE/AOS a few years ago. I had to count the flowers. Here is the award description:

Dendrobium thyrsiflorum "Saint Crysostom" CCE/AOS 94pts

One thousand nine hundred forty-four flowers and 1,800 buds on 54 blooming clusters and 50 budded clusters, borne on a 120-cm wide plant with exceptionally clean foliage grown in 28-cm pot; inflorescences bloomed evenly around plant; sepals and petals white with faint lavender venation on back; lip bright golden orange; lip and petal edges minutely fimbriate; substance good; texture crystalline, lip velvety.

 I knew mine was a young plant, but it's got a long ways to go to reach that size! My goal is to get mine to suvive and bloom another year. Thanks for the photo. :)

Paphreek : In Bangkok, lowest at night in our cooler season may reach 18-20 Deg C at night but only for a couple weeks or days... most of the time it is higher than 23-25 in most of the months and extreamly mostly close to 30 degC at night in the hot season... :D
ofcourse, I am talking about in the city area not the surounding area.. which might be cooler..a bit...

Littlefrog, wow , that plant is really superb.....
