Here is my huge Nep Ventrata. I bought this as a small plant at Lowes a couple of years ago. It grows like a vine and is actually wrapped around the pole it is hanging from a couple of times. It is hard to get to in my atrium so I have been lazy about removing old dead leaves and pitchers. :embarass: Because it is looped around the pole I can't just take it down.

The leaves are blanched slightly from my experimentations with Bayer Rose and Flower many moths ago. I was spraying a plant next to the Nep and some spray got on the Nep leaves discoloring them. Other than the discoloration it has not hurt the plant, but I would caution against spraying CPs with any insecticides on purpose or accidentally! :p

Here is my cutting pot and if you look closely you can see the baby pitcher forming:

This is a gratuitous photo of a dept store white Den. It is special to me because it is an easy keeper and also a plant that my students bought for me as a gift.

And here is a white Hibiscus blooming today, loving this rainy weather:

WOW! Nice nep! It's nice and big!
I was really mad because that ping died, so I took it back to where I got it. The person working there said that they lost more than half of theirs, and they believe it is because the place that they bought the plants from sent them out too early. So I did an exchange for a Nep. rafflesiana.

Have you ever put bugs into the pitchers?? I found a small ant today, and I thought the nep would like it, so I put it into the pitcher. Now we will wait, and see what happens!

That pic of the little pitcher forming is cool! Mine have a few like that. Aren't carnivorous plants so interesting???

I have a white dendrobium like that. Does the tag say Dend. Waianae Valley? That's what mine says, and it looks almost identical!
And the hibiscus is great looking! I love those double flowers!!

Muy Hermoso Plantas!!

LOL, I don't need to put bugs in my pitchers...they fly in on their own! Those CPs really earn their keep around my place.

Oh my...are you taking Spanish this year Nick? ;)

LOL! Yes!! :p

Well in THAT case I will pick on you...:poke:

watch your subject/adj agreement dearie: "plantas" matches with "hermosas" not hermoso...heehee! And usually the noun comes first such as:

"plantas muy hermosas"

y muchas gracias a ti ;)
