This is my passionflower that I vine around my GH. It seems to like the osmocote I fed it! LOL!

This guy doesn't really make ones that are big enough to eat. I've had one from the store, though! LOL!

that is a nice one Nick!!! When I was in Peru I had seen some gorgeous ones. There was one farm that had an "orchard' of passiflora. They were all pink.

This was the nicest one I came across

OMG! That is like a bush!! It may even be the same kind as mine, because look at the bottom of the picture!
Maybe I should get one of the Z6 hardy ones and vine it on my back fence!

Perfect hot tropical conditions for them in Hawaii! That is why orchids and Paphs/Phrags do so well in Hawaii!

Actually...this particular one was photographed in the mountains of Lana'i. It was cool there in the middle of July. Highs were in the 80s and the 60s at night. It was also dry, not humid!

Ah! Okey dokey! That reminds me of a TV show I had watched a few years ago about Hawaii and they showed snow on mountain tops and it is always freezing up there.

Yeah it was really bizarre. Not what I expected at all! But there were still daily showers up on the mountains, however the water seemed to evaporate before it hit the ground. Apparently the whole island of Lana'i used to be completely barren and desert like until they planted thousands of Cook Island Pines. The soil was too airy to grow anything and there were no natural sources of fresh water on the island. Something about the pines holding water allowed things to grow. And of course they eventually found a fresh water source. Lana'i used to be the largest pineapple plantation in the world (owned by Dole).

I'm pretty sure that I did see some in the resorts they had there. I have a huge philodendron in my backyard that looks similar. I hack it down every now and then because it takes over my garden!

I will try it if I don't have to order it over the internet.
