I submitted this plant to the Atlanta Judging Center, and it got a CHM. I named it "Swarm of Pixies". The CHM process is interesting because I had to send material to a taxonomic authority for ID verification. I found Dr. Larry Magrath in OK to ID the plant.
Malaxis calophylla is a deciduous terrestrial from NE Thailand. Everything dies back in the fall. I don't water through winter. Repot (there will be a bunch of new bulblets. And in March you get regrowth and spikes. This year the spike was 36 cm tall on the biggest plant.
