This is from "my" blooming last July - September.
This plant was labelled as parishii, and upon its first bloom, that was found to not be true. So, I got lucky with the "extra" dianthum. Peter got a great photograph when it was still in his possession. However, I like the angle of my photo, which clearly shows the magenta on the inside of the pouch which comes through as mahogany from the outside of the pouch. It is a beautiful plant, though I just lost most of a leaf to sunburn. It has three mature growths, one bloomed; a beautifully well grown plant. I hope I can do as well!
