I was around at the right moment and scored a small (one immature growth) division of an HCC lowii. The large (3 growth) division being taken was sold for $750.:Party: It is a stunning lowii that has been blooming twice a year.

I grow most of my collection at Piping Rock Orchids so I am there on a regular basis, at least 4 days a week. The neat part of being a friend of Glen Decker , besides being allowed growing space, is getting first choice on material when it arrives.

At this point, the plant is in pieces and the spikes have been removed, except for one that has a pod. I should have taken a pic of it in bloom. The spikes rose over 2 feet tall and then arched into a wonderful spray of large (approx 7") flowers. I thought I had a pic of last years blooming but I can't find it. I have been drooling over this plant even before it had been awarded.
