This magnolia is currently flowering in my garden. It is an early summer-blooming species in my area (late spring elsewhere). The flowers actually hang down somewhat thus are best viewed from below. Highly fragrant and neater foliage than the early spring-flowering magnolias.

Great Picture!! I am so jealous you can grow those in your area. They don't do well here in cold Minnesota. I rememember them from when I lived in The Netherlands. It is one of my favorite Magnolia's!

Magnolias are fabulous trees! We have them all over town and they are HUGE! I don't often get to see the blooms close up because they are so high above my head!
